Woodworking Cause

The Woodworking Cause is lead by Joshua Hogendorn, and receives quite a lot of help from Craig Hudson-Taylor. We're aiming to provide a shop that can cater for construction needs through to fine cabinetry and carving.

We currently hang out every Thursday from 6pm onwards, come by and have a chat, build some things!

* All machinery requires induction. * All machine or tool damage requires immediate reporting to . * Appropriate PPE usage is clearly signed and expected. * You are expected to clean up after you use the shop, do not leave projects on work surfaces, or dust/shavings/glue about the shop. * Return all tools to their home in the shop when done. * Woodshop tools do not leave the woodshop. * Use the marked sacrificial surfaces for most work, ie do not saw, hammer etc on the mitre station or machine surfaces. * Some tools have removable parts, when done with the tool all those parts should be reattached or placed back where you found them. * Machine maintenance is to be performed by named maintainers only, please do not attempt to modify any woodshop machines.

Inductions are currently run as required, please check the HSBNE Facebook page to see any upcoming inductions, or ask in our Discord channel if there doesn't seem to be anything.
