-
-===== Frequenly Asked Questions =====
-==== How do you pronounce HSBNE? ====
-
-The general consensus is it’s pronounced ‘AYCH ESS BEE ENN EE’.
-
-
-==== Do I need to be a paying member to come to HSBNE? ====
-
-Yes and no, we try to make sure our events are as open to the public as possible. Tuesday night meetings are open to anyone. In addition, we have workshops and other open events that anyone can attend. If you’d like to know if people are at the space, or arrange a time to visit, your best bet is to post to the HSBNE Forum.
-
-
-==== I don’t want to become a member, but I’d like to support HSBNE. How can I help? ====
-
-Thanks! Join in on some of the projects and events we have going on and help spread the word about HSBNE. Give us a like/check-in on our [[https://www.facebook.com/HSBNE/|Facebook page]] as this helps spread the word. That’s what we consider helpful support.
-
-
-==== Are you a hackerspace or a makerspace? ====
-
-It doesn’t particularly matter. Hackerspace is the preferred term of the ‘hackerspace movement’. Makerspace could be used when you don’t want to scare someone who doesn’t understand the true history of the word hacker. (see question below)
-
-
-==== Should I be scared that you will break into my computer? ====
-
-No, that’s not what we do. We use the term hacker in the historical ‘creative use of technology’ sense, not the ‘media boogeyman cybercriminal’ sense. We make stuff that’s ‘hacked together from different parts’.
-
-
-==== Will you hack into someone’s facebook for me? ====
-
-No. (see question above)
-
-
-==== I’d like to donate a bunch of stuff I don’t use anymore. What can I give you? ====
-
-Well, thank you! We do already have quite a lot of equipment. We love donations but have some restrictions on the type and amount of things we can take. Please check out our [[http://hsbne.org/donate.html|donations page]] for more information.
-
-
-==== When is the hackerspace open? ====
-
-The hackerspace doors open to the public every Tuesday afternoon from 5:00 pm till late. If you're a member, the hackerspace is open 24x7 via RFID cards, 365 days a year, including public holidays. In fact, //especially// public holidays. Be sure to check out our Facebook page for the latest information about open days/nights and other events.
