What the exec been up to the last month

  • We have re-organise our banking and now we have cancelled Budgetly and move the subscription over to Westpac’s.
  • We have been leasing with the paint factory and squaring our affairs with them. Now that the BE CNC is no longer on the paint factory, our inside storage cost have been reduce about 50%. Treasurer to expand on this.
  • We’ve sold one of the containers for $2000 dollars.
  • We got a new lease agreement across the road, on Heritage Tree Care, for storing the remaining two containers. This means a substantial reduction for storage fees, from $11439.96 to $7700 per Anum.
    • The proximity to the containers should make dealing with them way easier than before.
      • Be aware, the general membership CAN NOT freely access the containers. Access to the containers needs to be organised through the executive. The members of the executive are the only ones authorize on the property. Of course we can organise to come in group to deal with the containers.
      • The access to a forklift is not included in the agreement, however it could be arrange with more ease than before.
  • We already organise a few tours and people is coming. We have new members as well.
  • We have setup a new members induction and we have checked that the signups are working correctly.

What the membership been up to the last month

  • We organised an open day this last Sunday. We have a few coming over and we had a great time.
  • We organised a big working bee to clean up a whole container. Big thanks to Eris Ryan and Ryan Kirkpatrick.
  • We have setup a maglock on the main door and we are hoping to have this deploy this week.
  • The CNC has been plumbed and now is functional. We need to hook the interlock and rig some new dog holes.
  • We’ve got a new Makerspace license for V-carve. The system has changed so the news will be publish soon.
