Okada vm500 Cnc Mill

This machine is a very useful, very fun piece of equipment, and it's understandable that you'd be excited to jump right in, but first, The Fun Police have an important safety announcement.

This machine can severely injured, maime, and yes, even kill you.

DO wear appropriate PPE, in this case safety glasses/goggles are the more important ones, as there are no guards to stop objects leaving the work area at speed.

DO NOT put any body part or clothing near live tooling, as the potential for injury is severe.

DO NOT wear loose clothes, or have your hair loose if it is longer, as loose items may get wrapped around live tooling.

DO be aware that this machine has automatic operation, and the force it exerts is crushing, keep all body parts clear during operation.

DO NOT leave machine unattended while powered on, or in automatic operation. Things can go wrong, if you're not there to stop them it can damage your job, or worse, the machine. And only trained members may operate this machine, after proper induction, leaving it on unattended may invite a non-inducted member or guest's attention, and injury or damage may occur.

Fusion 360 is the only software available to generate GCode for the machine. You can download it here for free: http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview

Currently we have a custom post processor for it that integrates with Fusion 360. Further all the available tools are stored in a tool library with corresponding feeds and speeds for different materials.
