Meeting Notes
- Request for information about CAPEX spending
Reply:
Exec has been working on pulling apart the books. One of the issues is turning from accrual to cash basis which is more appropriate for our organisation. There are a few problems that we’re trying to work out from the previous accounting system. Generally, in the last few months, we do 7- 9 grand of income total. The biggest running costs at the moment are elec and cleaning. Data spreadsheets are still being filled out. We are trying to improve how we do OPEX and CAPEX. Lots of random budgets have been approved over the years, but nothing is centrally tracked. There is a need to clamp down on spending, slow down for the next couple of months. We will cut back on cleaning and look to reduce other costs. We will have a meeting to prioritise for people who have items voted through.
There is a need to create a roadmap for future spending. We need volunteers for CAPEX data-entry to get our info up to date.
