• Engage a foundry specialist to undertake a review of the established forge work area to determine the suitability of facilities available for forge activities and develop a SOP for users; Zac discussed with the Safety Officer (Frank), that as this was developed by Alex who is training to be a blacksmith, that should be sufficient.
• Complete hot works permit prior to usage of the forge and retain records should the SOP require its completion; Dedicated area does not require hot works permit. Not required in the SOP
• Mount the fire extinguisher to the wall; - Fraser/Zac mounted on the 2023-03-19
• Provide a first aid kit with burns kit within the forge area; - This will be provided by the Committee / Exec as part of the first aid for HSBNE
• Provide a spill kit within the forge area; - Discussed with the Safety Officer (Frank) that this can be a bucket of sand/kitty litter.
• Improve management of the electrical cabling at Site; - Cables removed
• Test and tag electrical cables. - Eris to test the electrical cables.
